Built in 1880, the Royal Exhibition Building is the oldest surviving ‘Palace of Industry’ from the Great Exhibition era that is still operating as an exhibition venue. It was inscribed onto the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2004.

Made exclusively for Museums Victoria Store, this coin is a great addition to any collection.

The brass ‘blanks’ are stamped in a press using approximately 100 tonnes of force. Once the design has been stamped into the brass ‘blanks’, the coins are copper-plated then nickel-plated and then plated with a thin layer of 24ct gold. The nickel-plating under the gold gives the coins their lustre.
