Melbourne Museum Coin
$8.95
Built in 2000, Melbourne Museum is home to over 15 million collection items, and is a well-loved destination for researchers, students and families.
Made exclusively for Museums Victoria Store, this coin is a great addition to any collection.
The brass ‘blanks’ are stamped in a press using approximately 100 tonnes of force. Once the design has been stamped into the brass ‘blanks’, the coins are copper-plated then nickel-plated and then plated with a thin layer of 24ct gold. The nickel-plating under the gold gives the coins their lustre.
