Museums Victoria Store is celebrating the 100th birthday of Australia’s most legendary racehorse, Phar Lap with a new and exclusive retail collection. Drawing from Collection memorabilia and objects that celebrate his heyday. 

Made exclusively for Museums Victoria Store, this coin is a great addition to any collection. 

The brass ‘blanks’ are stamped in a press using approximately 100 tonnes of force. Once the design has been stamped into the brass ‘blanks’, the coins are copper-plated then nickel-plated and then plated with a thin layer of 24ct gold. The nickel-plating under the gold gives the coins their lustre.
