Melbourne-based artists Mary-Lou and Chris bring decades of experience to their ceramic practice. Mary-Lou has worked with clay since the early 1980s, creating brightly coloured decorative and functional stoneware, while Chris, originally trained in painting, has spent over 30 years producing hand-built ceramics with detailed, hand-drawn designs. Together, their work is defined by bold colour, expressive forms, and richly decorated surfaces. 

For ROME: Empire, Power, People, they present a series of hand-painted, whimsical ceramics inspired by the monuments, landscapes, and figures of ancient Rome. The collection sits alongside a retail range of decorative and functional pieces, each individually hand-built and hand-decorated, reflecting their distinctive styles and attention to detail.
