
Tampe Tea Towel
Wholly Aboriginally owned, Tangentyere Artists is a not-for-profit organisation based in Alice Springs in Central Australia. Representing approximately 400 artists, Tangentyere Artists provides a studio, gallery space and outreach program to facilitate a source of income for local people, and have a positive impact on the community.
Signifying 'working together', Tangentyere is an Arrente word which acts as the ethos of the arts centre, whose artists work in many styles and media - such as painting, jewellery, sculpture and textiles. This interdisciplinary and collaborative approach supports a creative space that encourages artistic innovation and cultural growth.
