A lesser known genus of Ankylosaur, Kunbarrasaurus is a significant dinosaur of the Australian Cretaceous period. Kunbarrasaurus is a relatively recent find, first discovered on Wunumura land in Queensland in 1989, and was named after the local word for 'shield', for its tough, armoured hide. Its osteodermic hide makes it reminiscent of a kind of prehistoric armadillo!
This magnificent 61cm long specimen is built by hand using tough, but soft, materials around a malleable metal frame, with the utmost attention to detail. This is a plush model reconstructed to be as true-to-life as possible.
