Betty Morton Tea Towel
Australian made cotton tea towel designed by Betty Morton. Tea towel measures 45cm x 75cm.
Betty Morton has been painting for twenty years, and joined The Artists of Ampilatwatja in 2013. She draws hee inspiration from the land where she hunts and forages, and despite her bright and feminine colour palettes, depicts the land quite accurately. In 2019 Betty was announced as a finalist for the Hadley's Art Prize.
The Artists of Ampilatwatja community was established in 1999 near Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. The work produced by the artists is distinct from other Aboriginal artistic communities, due to the application of fine dots and the often bright and figurative depiction of the land.
