Poissons from Voyage de la Corvette
These grouper fish were illustrated after finds of the French exploration ship La Corvette d’Astrolabe. Ordered by King Louis-Philippe to reach the south magnetic pole, the ship’s voyage marks the race of France and England to document the globe.
